In this Privacy Policy, you can learn what information we collect about you when you visit elkerija.shop, what we do with this information, how long we store it, and to whom we disclose it. You will also find important information about your rights related to the processing of your personal data.

Your data controller is ELKERIJA, MB, company code 303130468, S. Stanevičiaus g. 46-11, Vilnius, Lithuania.

We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “Regulation”), the Law on the Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania, and other legal acts applicable to your data processing. The terms used in this Privacy Policy shall have the same meaning as in the Regulation.

Individuals under the age of 14 are not permitted to submit any personal data on our website. If you are under 14 years old, you must obtain the consent of your parents or other legal guardians before providing your personal data on our website.

What information do we collect about you and why do we use it?

Website browsing statistics

We are constantly improving our website and strive to make your experience on elkerija.shop as simple and convenient as possible. For this purpose, we need to know what information interests our visitors the most, from which cities they visit our website, how often they return, what browsers they use, what content they view, and what devices are used to access the site.

We collect this information using Google Analytics tools, which allow us to record and analyze how visitors use our website.

If you do not want Google Analytics tools to collect information about your browsing activity, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

The legal basis for processing this information is our legitimate interest in improving the availability of the elkerija.shop website and our commercial information (Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation).

Cookies

To ensure that the website functions properly, we store small data files called cookies on your device. Most websites do the same.

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to “remember” your actions and preferences (such as login name, language, font size, and other display settings), so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you visit the site or browse between pages. Cookies also help us collect statistical information about website traffic. Cookies are stored only if you confirm your consent in the pop-up message on the website, except for cookies that are necessary to provide our services.

Why do we use cookies?
Our website uses cookies to:

  • Recognize whether the same visitor has previously visited the site;

  • Determine whether you have agreed to the placement of cookies on your device;

  • Display the list of viewed products;

  • Personalize online advertisements according to your browsing history;

  • Collect website traffic statistics;

  • Remember choices you have made as a “Google” services user.

The legal basis for using cookies is our legitimate interest in ensuring the technical functionality of the website (e.g., the shopping cart operation), and your consent for cookies used to remember preferences, for statistical purposes, or to provide personalized advertising.

Direct marketing (sending advertisements)

Occasionally, if you have given your consent, we will send you news or offers:

  • When you register or make a purchase on the website;

  • When you subscribe to our newsletter;

  • When you register for a promotion, contest, or discount campaign.

If you agree, we may also display promotional messages directly in your browser.

The legal basis for sending these communications is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation). You have the right to withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from direct marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email, sending an SMS message with an unsubscribe notice, or managing your account settings.

Your data for direct marketing purposes will be processed for 5 years from the date of your consent or last contact with you. Once this period expires or you withdraw your consent, your data will be immediately deleted or no longer used for direct marketing.

Personalized offers

We use the data provided in your account and your purchase history to assess your needs and interests, allowing us to offer you discounts on products that may be more relevant to you. This evaluation (also called profiling) is done automatically.

We create customer profiles by assessing various demographic factors and purchasing trends. For example, if you bought a pump on our website, we might include you in a customer group that will be informed about promotions on pump accessories or spare parts. We may also automatically recommend products that typically interest other customers with similar purchasing behavior.

We use your data for personalized offers only if you have not objected to it when registering or purchasing on the website.

The legal basis for processing your data for profiling purposes is our legitimate interest in tailoring our services to customer needs and improving our business efficiency (Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation). You may object to such processing at any time by managing your account settings.

Individuals requesting information about products and services

When you contact us for information or register for a consultation by phone or video call, we process data such as your name, surname, username, phone number, email address, product names, quantities, and prices you are interested in, as well as call recordings, consultation time and duration, and content discussed during the consultation.

The legal basis for processing your data for consultation purposes is the necessity to perform a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the Regulation). The legal basis for recording calls is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation).

We store your data for 24 months from the consultation date unless it is necessary to retain it longer to comply with legal obligations, such as fulfilling requests from authorities or participating in legal proceedings.

Customer data

When you create an account, place an order, or purchase goods on the website, we process your contact and order data such as your name, surname, address, phone number, email, product names, quantities, prices, payment information, pickup location, order completion details, returns, date of birth (if required for product warranty), and invoice or company details.

We also use your email address to remind you about products left in your shopping cart or pending orders.

The legal basis for processing this data is the conclusion and performance of a sales contract between you and us (Article 6(1)(b) of the Regulation).

We store this data for up to 10 years from the date of purchase, unless a longer period is required to fulfill legal obligations or participate in legal proceedings.

Who can access your data?

We always protect your data and require all our partners and service providers with access to your data to ensure the same level of security.

Your data may only be accessed by authorized persons who are bound by confidentiality obligations, such as:

  • ELKERIJA, MB employees responsible for maintaining the website and its content;

  • Advertising service providers that may set or access personalized advertising cookies, such as Facebook, Inc. and Google LLC.

We never sell your data under any circumstances.

How long do we store your information?

We process your data no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Statistical data collected via Google Analytics and other cookies are usually used for up to 3 years. Since part of this information can only be deleted by our partners, they determine specific retention periods. Cookies typically remain on your device for up to 2 years.

How can you access your data? What are your rights?

If you wish to know what data we have collected about you, please contact us at info@elkerija.shop. You may also request correction, deletion, restriction of processing, withdrawal of consent, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, objection to direct marketing, or data portability.

Upon receiving your request, we may need to verify your identity. We may ask you to provide your name, surname, email address, or phone number to confirm your identity.

We will respond within 1 calendar month from the date of receiving your request, depending on its complexity and volume. We may extend this period by up to 2 additional months, informing you before the first month ends and explaining the reasons for the delay. If you submit your request electronically, we will respond electronically unless you request otherwise.

How to manage cookies

You can manage and/or delete cookies if you wish. For more information, visit aboutcookies.org or allaboutcookies.org. You can delete all cookies already on your computer, and you can set most browsers to prevent cookies from being stored. However, doing so may require you to manually adjust some settings each time you visit a site, and some services or functions may not work properly.
